The finest neighbourhoods rarely begin with towers.
They begin with a way of thinking about how people will live together—how streets will be walked, how landscapes will mature, and how everyday routines will slowly become part of the character of a place. Buildings may arrive first, but neighbourhoods earn their identity over time.
Richmond County, on Richmond Drive in Thane, followed a different path.
Several years before Lodha Belmont was conceived, Lodha began shaping the neighbourhood through its first two chapters—Lodha Villa Royale and Lodha Villa Royale Gold. Rather than introducing density from the outset, the neighbourhood was established through Georgian-inspired villas, tree-lined streets, private gardens and shared spaces designed to encourage a slower rhythm of everyday life. Families moved in. Club Royale became part of daily routines. Landscapes matured. The neighbourhood gradually developed the quality that cannot be master-planned overnight: familiarity.
By the time Lodha Belmont was introduced, Richmond County had already become something increasingly uncommon within Thane—an established premium neighbourhood rather than a promise of one.
Most new residential developments begin with a launch. Richmond County reached that point only after years of lived experience. This distinction changes the way Lodha Belmont should be understood. It is not a standalone residential project. It is the first high-rise chapter within a neighbourhood that already exists.
That context shapes every decision behind the development.
Only expansive 3-bedroom and larger residences have been planned. Four residences share each floor, creating a more considered residential environment. More than 70% of the site has been reserved for open spaces rather than built mass. These are not isolated product decisions. They continue the philosophy that first shaped Richmond County years earlier—placing landscape, community and everyday quality of life ahead of density.
The architectural language also continues this thinking.
Where Richmond County's villa chapters drew inspiration from timeless Georgian proportions, Lodha Belmont adopts the enduring geometry of Art Deco. Designed by Padma Bhushan recipient Hafeez Contractor, the towers reference an architectural vocabulary that continues to define some of the world's most recognisable residential addresses, from Mumbai's Marine Drive to New York's Chrysler Building.

The landscape, designed by P Landscape of Bangkok, extends this architectural philosophy into the public realm. Tree-lined walks, gardens, sensory spaces and outdoor recreation are conceived not as amenities, but as part of everyday life.

Inside, the clubhouse interiors by Studio HBA continue the same design language, while Lodha's signature hospitality services ensures the experience extends beyond architecture itself.

These collaborations are not intended to elevate a new project. They build upon the standards Richmond County has already established.
The phrase integrated neighbourhood is frequently used in residential real estate. At Richmond County, it describes something that can already be experienced.
Club Royale has long been operational. Families have established routines around its wellness, recreation and social spaces. Landscaped streets connect homes with open spaces rather than separating them. A temple forms part of the neighbourhood. Retail and educational infrastructure are planned within the masterplan, complementing the broader conveniences already surrounding Richmond County.
Connectivity has also evolved alongside the neighbourhood itself. The operational Samruddhi Expressway and Ulhas Creek Bridge have significantly strengthened access, while upcoming infrastructure—including the Thane Coastal Road, Metro Line 5 and the Eastern Freeway extension—is expected to further reinforce the long-term appeal of this corridor.
The result is not simply a residential project in Thane. It is a neighbourhood designed to support everyday life, both today and for years to come.
Some qualities cannot be accelerated.
Mature trees require years to grow. Communities develop through shared routines rather than launch campaigns. A clubhouse becomes meaningful only when it forms part of everyday life rather than a future promise.
These are the qualities that Lodha Belmont inherits. Families choosing a home here are not being asked to imagine what Richmond County may become. They are becoming part of a neighbourhood whose character has already taken shape.
That may be Lodha Belmont's most defining distinction. It is not introducing Richmond County.
It is continuing its story.
