Lodha World Towers: A Sculptural Landmark

Lodha World Towers brings a rare architectural lineage to Worli, Mumbai. Designed by Pei Cobb Freed and Partners, the visionaries behind the modernisation of the Grand Louvre Pyramid in Paris and the Bank of China Tower in Hong Kong, the development reaches 280 metres and stands among India’s tallest residences. Its sculptural cloverleaf form, tiered silhouette and balanced structure speak to a precise command of proportion and engineering.

Geometry and Form

The architecture is organised around a three-wing plan that shapes the internal layout. Each wing extends outward to maximise access to daylight and views, resulting in expansive corner living spaces and wraparound terraces with sea-facing outlooks.

The curvilinear geometry of the towers moderates direct solar exposure on the façade and allows for openings on multiple sides of each residence, supporting cross-ventilation. World One also incorporates a minor, intentional tilt in its structure to counteract load eccentricity and ensure overall stability at height.

The project incorporates a series of advanced construction techniques and materials that reinforce both scale and longevity. Lodha World Towers is the first residential development in India to employ M-95 concrete, a high-strength material comparable to steel in performance, enabling greater structural precision at height. Lightweight drywall partitions are used in place of conventional brickwork, reducing overall load while maintaining structural integrity. These systems also improve acoustic performance and offer a more sustainable, recyclable alternative, supporting the building’s long-term efficiency.

The Design Collective

Armani/Casa, one of the world’s most recognised names in interior design; Pei Cobb Freed & Partners, world-renowned architects; LERA, globally acclaimed structural engineers; and Ken Smith, an internationally awarded landscape designer, come together at Lodha World Towers. It represents a rare convergence of global expertise across architecture, interiors, structure and landscape, brought together with a shared design discipline.

Ken Smith designed the landscape across the 17-acre estate, with gardens, pathways and open spaces around the towers, including dedicated areas for children’s recreation. This expansive landscaped entrance courtyard extends over almost 100,000 sq. ft., with dancing fountains and layered green spaces that shape the arrival experience for residents and guests.

Life at Lodha

At the heart of the resident experience is Club W, a multi-level clubhouse spread across five floors, where wellness, leisure and social experiences intersect. Here, residents can pursue wellbeing in a state-of-the-art fitness centre, a tranquil spa and a private theatre for intimate gatherings. A grand ballroom sets the scene for larger celebrations. Indoor and outdoor pools sit alongside courts and arenas for sports and activity. A rock-climbing wall, athletic track and courts for tennis and squash support an active lifestyle, while lounges and art spaces offer moments of repose and culture within the estate.

Residents also have access to invitation-only experiences developed in collaboration with global luxury maisons like Tiffany & Co., along with Michelin star chef curated five course dining events that bring restaurant level culinary craft into the residential environment. These experiences are often hosted within a Private Members’ Club, located at the top of Lodha Ciel, a place conceived to curate world-class experiences at World Towers by offering concierge-led programming and hospitality services.

For families, the development features custom designed treehouses by the UK-based firm Blue Forest, which encourage imaginative play while also functioning as shared social spaces for children and adults. Together, these offerings reflect a way of living where architecture is supported by thoughtfully curated experiences that enrich everyday life.

Lodha World Towers seamlessly blends architectural innovation, global design expertise and bespoke amenities within a single development, offering a refined lifestyle and experience for its residents.
