November 20, 2025Morph Lab’s new Mumbai office crafts a new office culture - where art, design, music and open space converge.

Not all workspaces are defined by private cubicles that separate people from their team and surroundings. Imagine stepping into a 2,500-square-foot open space bathed in muted tones, with no partitions, only fluid zones that seamlessly merge design, architecture, and futurism. At Lodha Supremus, Lower Parel, Morphlab’s new Mumbai office reimagines the traditional workspace as a gallery-like setting- one that’s as dynamic as the minds that inhabit it.
Cool office lounges are common, but how often do you hear of a DJ and conversation zone that encourages post-work spontaneous gatherings? The overall design encourages creative and playful thinking, inviting employees to move, explore, and express freely. As the founding architects, Sahil Jain and Ajinkya Manohar, explain, the gallery-inspired environment was conceived to spark imagination and dissolve the boundaries between work and leisure. Take a walk through this space, and one can’t help but wonder, is this the future of the modern office, where design, music, and community converge?
Morphlab’s new Mumbai office is a gallery of ideas, where natural materials meet unconventional modern aesthetics. Think Indian natural stone, charred wood, and cast concrete, all bathed in daylight streaming through sweeping glass windows with expansive city views. The space also doubles as a showroom for Morphlab’s in-house furniture line, reflecting the founders’ belief that a workspace shouldn’t just be designed, it should be curated.
Muted tones form the backdrop, punctuated by bold pops of art across walls and floors. The open floor plan, free of enclosures, creates a seamless flow between the central workspace, outdoor terrace, and design studio. Ajinkya points, the layout’s most distinctive feature is its visual transparency: from any point in the office, one can see the entire space at once. The result is a luminous, breathable environment, where natural light floods every corner.

This piece is a masterpiece in Indian marble, handcrafted without a single joint and self-supporting on just two legs.
Through the clever use of glass, texture, and proportion, the designer duo has created a cheerful, human-centric workspace, far removed from the harsh glow of fluorescent offices. The infusion of Indian materials and handcrafted furniture adds warmth and tactility, grounding the space in local context while keeping its look modern, minimal, and artful.

At Morph Lab’s office, the charred wood finish of the shelves celebrates a Japanese craft, aligning with contemporary sensibilities.
Craft and artistry evolve only when aligned with contemporary sensibilities - a principle that defines this space. The designers have seamlessly woven together a rich interplay of materials, textures, and forms, all anchored in an Indian design context that feels both modern and rooted. The designers introduced nodes -a geometric motif that recurs throughout the interior as a unifying design element, giving the space a sculptural, almost kinetic rhythm, where the furniture and accessories follow this form.
The office’s design language comes alive through an interconnection of visible details from eccentric lighting installations to tables crafted with concrete tops and natural stone surfaces. Techniques such as wood charring add a layer of craftsmanship and contrast, as seen in one of the striking bookracks that doubles as a stunning sculptural creation at the workstation.

By day, it’s a hub for ideas and client collaborations; by night, it transforms into a music and relaxation zone.
The most engaging corner of the studio is the ‘conversational space’, a zone designed for workshops and brainstorming sessions. Here, a central table serves as both a presentation hub for vendors and clients by day, and a DJ console by evening, transforming the space into a lively, social setting that celebrates dynamism in its most ‘un-office-like form.’
It’s this spirit of adaptability and community that defines Morbhlab’s futuristic approach, where design doesn’t just serve function, but evolves with mood, collaboration, and creativity. A blend of organic modernism and minimalism defines the new Morph Lab office, sculpted around open, uncluttered spaces and multipurpose zones that stay visually connected. The Future of Office Design is here and Morph Lab has mastered it.
