The AC breakthrough tested at Palava

Lodha, in collaboration with the Rocky Mountain Institute(RMI), a Colorado based clean energy and CEPT University at Ahmedabad, recently conducted an in-depth study at Palava — a marquee urban development that also serves as a living lab for sustainability innovations.

As part of this initiative, Palava hosted a real-world field test of next-generation super-efficient air conditioning units during the peak of the hot and humid season, over a period of 9 months. The findings were promising.

These advanced AC units demonstrated up to 60% lower energy consumption, with the potential to cut electricity bills by nearly half over their operational lifespan.
