Why the Vogueathon fitness brunch will motivate you to get fit now

It’s hard to refuse a Sunday brunch invitation—why would anyone say no to a long, lazy, multiple-course meal on a non-working afternoon? For 2017, though, we decided to do things a bit differently.

In keeping with our Vogueathon spirit to kickstart the year on a healthier note, Vogue organised a fitness brunch at Lodha – The World Towers in Mumbai (which stands to be one of India’s tallest buildings), and here’s why guests found it hard to refuse this invitation.

The world-class Fitness Centre in the Tower, spread over 10,000sqft (and is going to be one of the largest in the city in a residential development), made for the perfect setting, while guests enjoyed live music and healthy juice blends.
The menu was a scrumptious curation of healthy options crafted by Gaia Gourmet and Vanika Choudhari of Sequel. From Som Tam Watermelon and Water Chestnuts with Katiafi salad and California Amaranth Maki Rolls with Soya Air to Edamame Truffle Asparagus Phyllo Cups—it’s the kind of food you’d give up your mac and cheese for. But wait, there was a Four Cheese Mac and Cheese too—a healthy version, of course. Bandra-based restaurant Sequel whipped up delicious smoothie bowls and beckoned people to its live salad bar.
Guests got a taste of what it’s like to train with celebrity trainer Cindy Jourdain (also Katrina Kaif’s trainer), as she recapped her journey into fitness.
Celebrity nutritionist Suman Agarwal busted nutrition myths and gave the guests tips on what to eat and avoid.
The day ended with guests leaving with advice on how to make healthier lifestyle changes in 2017 and the goodie bags from Protein Bake Shop to ensure they stick with these resolutions.
