Promising to carry forward the war against corruption and black money post-demonetisation, he said the government will soon operationalise a strong law to stop transaction of benami properties.
The Union minister accused the Congress of not implementing the law to prohibit illegal benami transactions during their rule.
Speaking at the inauguration of the state council meeting of the BJP, Naidu countered the criticisms on demonetisation and said, “We wanted the money to come back to the banks. Till yesterday, this money was kept hidden at various places. Now all the money has come back to the banks.”
“The notes have come back after scrutiny. Now they have an address,” he said. He said that all these measures are to reduce the disparity between the rich and the poor.
“The entire country welcomed the demonetisation drive by PM Modi except the Congress and the Communists in Kerala,” he said hitting out at the CPM government in the state.
Venkaiah warned the CPM of dire consequences if the BJP workers in the state continued to be targeted physically.
“In the eight months of the CPM rule, around 80 individuals have been murdered. I warn the CPM that you will get it back politically,” he said.
He also slammed the CPM for talking about intolerance and going on a killing spree.
“If you have the guts fight us politically and ideologically,” he challenged the CPM.
Venkaiah cited the recent murder of a housewife in Palakkad by burning her to death as an example and said, “it is a great shame for the CPM”. “I want the CPM to know that things are changing. Red and blood won’t succeed anymore. Lotus will bloom in Kerala,” he said.
He also said that the BJP will only grow more with this oppression from the CPM.
The Union minister also said that the huge disparity between the rich and the poor in the country are the ill-effects of the Congress and Communist ideologies. “Today time has come to understand the philosophy of Modi, NDA and the BJP,” he said.
“Congress and the CPM are two sides of the same coin. In Delhi they are together and in Kerala they are at loggerheads. This has resulted in the degradation of political standards. This has encouraged the anti-national forces also,” he said.
Venkaiah also said that in the next elections BJP will become the single largest political party ending the “unholy nexus between the LDF and the UDF.”
BJP leader and Lok Sabha MP from Karnataka Nalin Kumar Kateel on Tuesday had warned the CPM that the Centre would intervene if BJP workers continued to be physically targeted and would face retaliation in other parts of the country as well.
